We believe there’s a great future in this country that we can partner with people together to build so we have got a very specific passion for young people especially.

This was highlighted by BELIEVE representative Joey Poh who is in Fiji with her team for the Believe concert tour that will be held this weekend.

Poh says in most countries that they have been to, there has been a lot of focus on youth-related issues, and no doubt there are genuine issues that need to be addressed, but when they see young people, they see endless potential and possibilities.

She says BELIEVE is founded on a vision to bring sustainable change through impacting 5 spheres which are leadership, education, business, health and the church.

She adds one of the core values of what they do for the BELIEVE programs is, instead of focusing on the problems, they focus on the possibility.

Poh says they have been visiting schools in Suva doing their programs because they believe that young people are the key to building a brighter future.

She says their group always believes that if we can give young people a dream, vision and something they can work towards and also build belief in them that they can be the change and make a difference, then we won’t need to be telling them what they should and should not be doing because they will be so focused on what they must do in order to build the future that they want.

Poh says most times a lot of youths are surrounded by the negativity or challenges in their own environment but instead of submitting to that environment, they encourage youths nowadays to be the change, the difference that they want to see and take the stand to voice the change in this day and age.

She says they are excited to be in Fiji for the third time and they hope they will make an impact on the lives of the youths in Fiji.

The BELIEVE team will be having their Believe concert at the Vodafone Arena this Friday night and Saturday night.
