Through your dedication and tireless efforts, you have transformed our beloved airline into a symbol of excellence, a source of national pride and inspiration.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka highlighted this during his first official visit to the Fiji Airways Headquarters at Nasoso, Nadi adding their achievement is a testament of their collective efforts as a team that make up the Fiji Airways Vuvale.

Rabuka says they have consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty ensuring the utmost comfort and safety of our passengers.

He further says their natural smile and genuine hospitality is something that he has noticed absent in the other airlines he has been on.

The Prime Minister says maybe he is too much of a patriot, but he noticed the difference and he is glad that those that have sat in the other airlines in the world have noticed too.

He further says they have brought us pride in our country, in our airline, by winning the Skytrax Best Airline in Australia & the Pacific while also retaining the award for the Skytrax Best Airline Staff in Australia & the Pacific for the third year in a row.

Rabuka also thanks the Management team of Fiji Airways for their exceptional leadership and strategic vision.

He further says through their unwavering commitment to innovation and efficiency they have successfully steered Fiji Airways through really turbulent times. He further says they have overcome numerous challenges and made some very difficult decisions in the past.

Rabuka says he remembers sitting by the drain crying with those that had been laid off on a Christmas eve and he had made a lovo at home and brought it all the way to Nadi to share.

He further says he is glad that they decided that the 212 employees that were laid off during the pandemic will be allowed to continue to work.

The Prime Minister says hopefully after the training and reconditioning, the workers will enjoy the new profile they come back into.

He further says their government is committed to ensuring the Fiji Airways family remains intact.

Rabuka adds their government is determined and sure that the industry thrives because they understand the important role they play in the economic survival of the country and its people.
