A woman in her 20s who was allegedly assaulted by her partner in Cunningham on the 25th of January has passed away.
Police say the woman was admitted in critical condition on the 26th of January at the CWM Hospital after the alleged assault by the partner.
The matter was reported to Police on the 30th of January.
She passed away on Tuesday.
A post mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death as investigations continue.
