Following serious concerns raised by parents of players in the Weet-Bix Raluve competition about muddy and unplayable condition at the Suva Grammar School grounds, Fiji Secondary School Rugby competition President, Jone Kanalagi says this was out of their hands and there was no available ground in the Central Division at that time.

A concerned parent says she is concerned as there have been cases on leptospirosis and the condition at the ground was perfect to trasmit the bacteria.

She says they are also concerned as the ground has fresh grease on it.

The mother asks who will be responsible if her daughter gets sick.

Kanalagi says there was nothing that could be done about it but to continue with the quarter finals as scheduled.

He says the Vodafone Super Deans competition also faced the same issue at Buckhurst Park grounds on Saturday but nothing could be done by their games committee as there was no available grounds in the Central Division.

The Under 17 and Under 18 quarter finals were held at the Buckhurst Park.

He adds that they will be looking into this matter and will address the issue in their meeting today. The Vodafone Super Deans and the Weet-Bix Raluve competition semi finals will be held at the HFC Bank Stadium this Saturday.
