Suva City Council Chairman and Special Administrator, Tevita Boseiwaqa

Concerns have been raised on the deplorable look of buildings and shops in Suva and how some might need to be water blasted while others might need a fresh coat of paint for the beautification of the Capital City.

Suva City Council Chairman and Special Administrator, Tevita Boseiwaqa says right now they are working on their buildings first before telling others what to do.

Boseiwaqa says they must first improve the frontage of buildings owned by the Suva City Council.

He says they are taking an integrated area approach for some specific and general areas around Suva, one of those areas is the improvement of the Suva Bus Stand which is currently in progress.

The Special Administrator says they will also be focusing on informal settlements, ensuring their safety with the installation of lights.

He says some people have small markets on their driveways and they want to formalise these with stalls like the ones that can be seen on the road from Navua to Deuba.

Boseiwaqa says all this will be done to make sure that Suva City will shine and bloom.
