Suva bus stand.

The Suva City Council and Police will be meeting today to discuss the possibility of sending people home who are just seen loitering around at the bus stand, market and parks.

This has been confirmed by the SCC Chairman Isikeli Tikoduadua who says that they are facing a major challenge in trying to tell people to follow the COVID-19 health protection guidelines.

Tikoduadua says they have done this to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in public places.

He highlighted this when questioned by fijivillage on what the SCC is doing about people at the Suva Bus Stand who are not following the COVID-19 guidelines like wearing masks and social distancing.

Tikoduadua says they will need the help of police officers in enforcing the guidelines.

He says they placed cones at the bus stand so the people are aware of how far they have to stand and sit away from each other.

Tikoduadua says in the market they have made it a one-way entry and exit.
