SODELPA Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka is urging the SODELPA family to remain steadfast and calm, while they face some challenges within the party, like all families, however he says they can solve their issues with dialogue and mutual understanding and respect for one another.

As the world prepares to celebrate international day of families tomorrow, Rabuka urges forbearance for all members of the SODELPA family to remain united, as they will get through these challenges, if they hold hands, talk about their challenges, and commit to move forward in achieving their primary objective of changing government by winning elections in 2022.

Rabuka says International Family Day is marked to raise awareness on the significance of families and the different challenges faced by families, particularly parents and children today.

He says the mantra “It takes a village to raise a child” is deeply rooted within the Fijian and Pacific community way of life and plays a significant role within family structures and communities.

Rabuka says instilling values and respect together with Christian principles on the cultural understanding that each individual within a family will succeed and become prosperous.

He says families are the bedrock upon which society is built, and strong families mean a strong nation.

Rabuka also says a SODELPA government will consult with all relevant stakeholders on the development and improvement of laws, policies and programs to improve and protect family values to build a prosperous and industrious nation.
