Water Authority of Fiji CEO, Barry Omundson says people living in parts of Nadi and Lautoka who have been suffering from water problems since yesterday morning can expect water supply to be restored by tomorrow morning.

Omundson says they have completed the works on the major burst on the water trunk main from Vaturu Dam to Nagado Water Treatment Plant this morning.

He says the low pressure to the intermittent supply of water is due to the low water levels currently experienced at Nagado, Kashmir and Saru reservoir.

He adds their officers are currently working on refilling all this reservoir and water supply is expected to be normalised by tomorrow morning.

The CEO apologises for any inconvenience caused as they are trying their best to provide water supply to these affected areas.

WAF says water carting trucks will be serving affected areas during the temporary disruption period.

Some of the areas affected in Nadi includes Nadogo, Nadele, Holika, Taci, Togomasi, Togo Lavusa, Solovi, Meiganyah, Malolo, Navo, Tunalia, Transmitter Top, Nacovi, Sonaisali, Veiladan, Nasau, Vutuvutu, Katigari, Mulomulo Top, Tabarak, Malamala, Nawaicoba, Yako, Nabila, Nalovo, Uciwai and Fiji Marriot Momi Bay Resort.

Some areas affected in Lautoka includes Tawatawa, Vaivai, Vuda Back Road and Wairebetia, Kermode and Kashmir area.
