Water supply has been restored in most parts of Nadi, Lautoka, Ba and Tavua while water production levels in Sigatoka are still at 42% after the widespread flooding in the Western Division.

Speaking to Legend FM News, Water Authority of Fiji Chief Operating Officer Seru Soderberg says the Sigatoka water supply system is the most affected and they now have three of the four pumps in operation.

He says they expect full restoration of the water supply in Sigatoka tomorrow.

Soderberg adds Lautoka currently sits on 98% restoration level.

He further says the water supply in Nadi is normal except for those who are still experiencing water disruptions from the burst mains.

Soderberg says Rakiraki now has 98% of water supply restoration.

He says their team will be travelling to Malake Island today to work on water restoration.

Soderberg also highlighted that Tavua has 90% water restoration levels and work is expected to be completed by today while Ba sits on 85% restoration.

Soderberg says they are sending as many water trucks as they can to all the affected areas in the West.

He says Sigatoka has 6 water trucks carting water and they are looking to engage additional trucks.
