Win Together Sweepstakes winner, Lorraine Rigamoto says half of the $8,000 will be spent and the rest will be saved because she does not know how long this pandemic will last.

The 26-year-old Raiwaqa resident says she was not able to provide for her family as her workplace had to close due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rigamoto says she works for Parmar’s Footwear in Suva so during the recent lockdown, shops had to close and jobs were affected.

She further says it has been challenging especially after giving birth to her daughter and her partner is self-employed as well.

Rigamoto is encouraging Fijians to get vaccinated.

She says we must spread the word about the importance of vaccines to our families, friends, and the Government, so we can be protected from this deadly virus and bring back normalcy to our lives.

Rigamoto adds she hopes Fijians will not be swayed by the rumours on social media but rather help the country return to normalcy.

The youth has also thanked the Fijian Government for their continuous support, especially to Fijians who have lost their jobs and for the employment assistance that many of having accessed to assist their families.

The Government will be awarding a total of $51,000 in prize money to ten winners in the second draw of the Win Together Sweepstakes which will be in honour of Fiji’s 51st anniversary of independence.
