In anticipation of a high number of movements this week in the capital city due to the Vodafone Super Deans national quarter finals, Police are warning parents, guardians, students and supporters that unruly behaviour will not be tolerated.

Director Traffic, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mitieli Divuana, says traffic officers will not hesitate to confiscate any materials, such as flags if they are seen to be used in a dangerous manner from moving vehicles.

SSP Divuana says traffic officers will increase visibility along the Queen's Highway and major arterial roads in the capital city.

He says flags are prohibited from being flown outside the windows of buses and cars, and they are asking parents, teachers and guardians to assist by strictly monitoring children’s behaviour.

He is also reminding drivers to plan their travel ahead of time to avoid rushing.

Police are requesting everyone's cooperation to avoid any major incidents on our roads.

He says accidents can be avoided through a change of mindset and by understanding that everyone has a role to play when it comes to road safety.
