Two police officers are part of 46 people charged for a total of 46 counts of separate serious offences last month.

These two police officers were charged with assault causing actual bodily harm after allegedly assaulting two suspects in a drug cultivation case.

According to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, five cases were discontinued in court due to insufficient and inconsistent evidence, lost exhibits and evidence of police abuse.

A 26-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were charged with the unlawful possession of illicit drugs, however, the matter was discontinued due to inconsistent evidence.

A 28-year-old man and a 40-year-old man were charged with the attempted unlawful exportation of illicit drugs, however, this matter was discontinued after the exhibits went missing from the police station.

A 37-year-old woman was charged with act with intent to cause grievous bodily harm to her 46-year-old husband.

The woman allegedly stabbed her husband.

A 32-year-old man was charged with the attempted murder of a 47-year-old man where he allegedly stabbed the victim with a kitchen knife multiple times.

There was one incident where a Hindu priest was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm to a 16-year-old boy.

The Hindu priest hit the boy with a bamboo stick for climbing a mango tree.

Three men aged 27, 31 and 32-years-old were charged with the manslaughter of a 50-year-old man following a road accident.

Two men aged 22 and 26-years-old were charged for assault causing actual bodily harm.

They allegedly assaulted their 18 and 34-year-old wives.

A 53-year-old man was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.

He allegedly assaulted his 8-year-old son.

A 46-year-old woman was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.

She allegedly assaulted to her 47-year-old neighbour.

In one incident, a 25-year-old man allegedly cut his 26-year-old friend with a pen knife.

A 25-year-old man allegedly slashed his 35-year-old friend with a cane knife after an altercation.

Cash and assorted items ranging from $70 to $6,130 were stolen during the alleged aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and theft offences which consisted of home invasions, shop and restaurant burglaries, taxi car jacks and daylight and night street robberies.

There were two separate incidents where a 40-year-old man and a 41-year-old man were charged with the unlawful cultivation of illicit drugs.

They allegedly cultivated 74.6 kilograms and 101 kilograms of marijuana.
