(Left to Right) Minister for Economy Hon. Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum, Awardees Karolina Sautoga, Mahezabeen Khan and Digicel CEO Farid Mohammed.

Two ambitious women today received a portion of Digicel Fiji's All In for Fiji initiative which will see a total of $50,000 handed out for various community projects in the country.

Karolina Sautoga of Nabaka settlement in Savusavu had requested for water tanks.

She says most of the houses do not have government water supply and they rely on boreholes.

Sautoga says being provided with this water tank by Digicel will ensure clean water is stored and readily available for villagers during cyclones.

The second winner is Mahezabeen Khan who is the Principal of Nasikawa Vision College.

She applied for a grant so she can help out in planting mangroves along the Navola Village coastline as there is no mangrove cover.

Khan says this is to assist the villagers in the preservation of marine life.

Digicel Fiji CEO Farid Mohammed says the funding they are providing will help individuals or groups to implement projects to uplift local communities.

Digicel has extended the due date and people can submit their ideas they might have for their community project on their webpage www.areyouallin.today.
