Fiji Bati fullback Sunia Turuva ended his season with the Penrith Panthers on a high note after scoring a try to assist the defending champions retain their title for the fourth consecutive time, beating the Melbourne Storm 14-6 in the Grand Final tonight.

Turuva, who will join the Wests Tigers next season, scored the first try for the Panthers in the final.

The Storm kicked start their campaign with a try to hooker Harry Grant to put them in a 6-0 lead.

Turuva’s unconverted try in the 26th minute closed the gap to a 6-4 game.

The Panthers continued on the attack, and with a few minutes left for halftime, Liam Martin collected a sneaky pass from Nathan Cleary and dived onto the try line.

The Panthers lead the Storm 10-6 at the break.

The second half was filled with energy as both teams tried their best to break through the defence line.

Penrith centre Paul Alamoti scored an unconverted try to move the defending champions closer to their fourth consecutive title.

The Storm did not give up as they continued their attack, however, the Panthers' defence stood tall at the end.

More than 80,000 fans were on the stand to witness the Panthers retain their title.
