Thousands of people living in Kinoya and Nasinu area experiencing low intermittent water supply

Thousands of people living in Kinoya and the greater Nasinu area who receive water from the Nasinu reservoir have been experiencing low to intermittent water supply since Saturday night.

The Water Authority of Fiji says this is due to the low reservoir levels.

They say their teams are on the ground balancing the water pressure and flow in pipelines and reservoirs which is causing fluctuations in water levels.

The Authority says there is no frame as to when will be the water fully restored to these areas.

They are urging Fijians to conserve and always store sufficient water which can last them for at least two to three days at all times.

WAF is advising Fijians to invest in storage containers or water tanks connected to the water system for storage and backup supply during any unplanned disruption that may arise due to emergency works.

Customers can contact the authority on 3346777 or 5777 for water carting requests.
