Members of the public are advised of temporary road closure from today to Friday as Police will be conducting traffic and escort duties during the State visit of the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia David Hurley and his wife.
Police say temporary road closures will be facilitated along the Main Kings Road, around Suva City, Nausori Town, Walu Bay and in Labasa on Thursday.
They say the closures will be temporary and traffic officers will be on the ground to redirect traffic from today to Friday.
According to the Fiji Roads Authority, intermittent road closures will be anytime between 8pm to 9.30 tonight on Kings Road between Suva City and Nausori, 11.30am to 7pm on Tuesday from Suva City and Walu Bay, 8am to 8pm on Wednesday on Muanikau Road, Kings Road between Suva and Nausori and Walu Bay and 8am to 9pm on Kings Road between Suva City and Nausori (Nausori bound lane) on Thursday.
Police adds they ask for patience and understanding on these days.
