In a bit to help children with special needs and provide detection and intervention and services to children with disabilities in Fiji, Telecom Fiji has donated $5,000 to the Frank Hilton Organisation Charity Wheelbarrow Race.

The event will take place on the 20th of July at Suva’s Albert Park.

Telecom Fiji says they have also registered a team to take part in this event.

The Frank Hilton Organisation says they provide essential services for children with disabilities through a multidisciplinary, family-centered approach.

They say they also offer support and guidance to parents, helping them understand and manage their children’s special needs by empowering and building independence among children with disabilities, the organisation ensures these children can fully participate in society.

Telecom Fiji’s CEO, Charles Goundar has thanked the Frank Hilton Organisation for allowing them to contribute to this very worthy cause.

Goundar adds as a local company, they have a responsibility to give back to the community, especially during trying times when many Fijians are struggling financially.

Telecom Fiji Financial Controller Ashika Nandni says this event is one of the many ways in which they give back to the community.

Frank Hilton CEO Sureni Perera stresses the importance of supporting other charities that help Fijians across the country.

Perera says they are appreciative of Telecom Fiji’s continued support and generosity, and their involvement not only helps raise vital funds but also brings joy and excitement to the event, inspiring others in the community to participate and contribute to our cause.

She says team Telecom Fiji has won the award for Best Dressed Team for the past 7 years.
