Tech businesses in Fiji now have the opportunity to get training and pitch their ideas to investors in the Asian market as the Start-up Challenge 2020

Tech businesses in Fiji now have the opportunity to get training and pitch their ideas to investors in the Asian market as the Start-up Challenge 2020 and LaunchPad 2020 was launched today.

Start-up Challenge 2020 is a 9-day online entrepreneurship training program which is designed for developers to test and pitch new ideas and support established businesses taking on new technology solutions.

They will be able to pitch their ideas through LaunchPad 2020.

Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation CEO Kameli Batiweti says this program will assist the applicants to come out of their comfort zones.

He says for too long our technological industry has been very quiet and they know for a fact that young people need exposure to grow.

Batiweti adds the program is targeted to any business interested on technology.

Myanmar based organisation, Phandeeyar will provide training for start-ups while tech company, GSMA will be providing the technical support.

The program is funded by the Australian Government.

Applications close on the 7th of September and can be sent to Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation.
