SODELPA MP, Lynda Tabuya.

SODELPA MP, Lynda Tabuya says people of all races, totalling almost 30,000 have signed the petition calling on the Government to withdraw the Bill to amend the iTaukei Land Trust Act.

She said in parliament that from the Momo Levu Na Tui Nadi, Momo Levu Na Tui Nawaka, Bose Ni Momo of the Province of Ba, Liuliu ni Yavusa Kalabu, Ratu Paula Rawiriwiri and all the signatories are calling on the Government to show respect and consult.

While opposing the 2021/2022 National Budget, Tabuya has also questioned whether a freehold landowner would allow his or her tenant to do dealings without their consent.

Tabuya also stresses being pro i-taukei rights does not mean being anti-Indo-Fijian or any other race.

Tabuya then told parliament that she will not pretend to be an economist trying to solve the country’s economic problems, thus she turned to former Reserve Bank of Fiji Governor, Savenaca Narube for his assistance.

Tabuya also stated the suffering, hunger, death and despair of our beautiful island nation is because FijiFirst has failed the people.
