Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) learning empowers youths with skills and knowledge to be job creators rather than job seekers.

Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Waterways, Tomasi Tunabuna highlighted this while closing the TVET and Enterprising Week at Seaqaqa Central College.

Tunabuna encouraged the students to use the opportunity and hopes to see more young entrepreneurs in the future in Seaqaqa by utilising their skills.

He commended the Principal for the initiative to empower students to maximise their talents to the fullest at an early age.

The Assistant Minister further says empowerment is not just a word; it is a call to action and about recognizing your worth, embracing your abilities and taking ownership of your future.

Tunabuna adds academic subjects are tailor-made to provide students with lucrative career paths to address the skills gap in the local labour market and benchmark it with the international education services providers in the provision of relevant and quality TVET programs.

He also reminded students to shape, transform and make their world better for them and their future generations.

Students were awarded prizes and gifts for their talents and artworks showcasing best agricultural practices and models.
