Star Melbourne Storm halfback Jahrome Hughes has revealed that the rumours of him wanting to move back to the Gold Coast are all false and says Melbourne is his home now.

This has followed with the club ramping up talks to extend his contract until 2028.

Hughes says his future is in Melbourne and adds he does not know what these people spreading rumours about him are talking about.

He says he hasn’t seen the story or anything, but a few of his teammates have told him about the rumours.

He adds even though he started his NRL career with the Titans, the Storm is his home now and he thinks the Titans are just trying to make a story out of it at the moment.

The Kiwis playmaker picked up three Dally M votes in the win over the Roosters last week and has been outstanding so far for the Storm.

Meanwhile, the Storm sit second in the overall points table after 7 rounds with 12 points.

They will take on the Rabbitohs at 9.50pm this Thursday in Melbourne.

In other matches this week, the Warriors will take on the Titans at 4pm Thursday, the Dragons take on the Roosters at 6.05pm Thursday, the Sea Eagles will play the Eels at 10pm Friday, the West Tigers will take on the Broncos at 7.30pm Saturday, the Cowboys will play the Panthers at 9.35pm Saturday, the Dolphins will take on the Knights at 4pm Sunday and the Raiders will play the Sharks at 6.05pm Sunday.
