A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Star Printery and the Substance Abuse Advisory Council that will see Star Printery print the toll-free number of Lifeline Fiji, Child Help Line, Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre Domestic Violence Helpline and Substance Abuse Advisory Council Counselling Line on their educare exercise books.

Star Printery Director, Vikesh Chauhan says in the past few weeks they have noticed cases of child abuse, substance abuse, suicide and domestic violence reported in the media.

Chauhan says they were thinking how Star Printery can assist to tackle these issues, so being the largest manufacturer of exercise books in Fiji, they already had a tool on their hand.

He further says they got in touch with the Substance Abuse Advisory Council and Lifeline Fiji was suggested to them.

Substance Abuse Advisory Council representative, Pritesh Kumar says they are thankful to Star Printery for the initiative of printing the numbers of Lifeline Fiji on the educare exercise books.

You can call Lifeline Fiji on 1543, Child Help Line on 1325, Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre Domestic Violence Helpline 1560 and Substance Abuse Advisory Council Counselling on 7734182, 7734180, 7734181.
