The Anti Corruption Court has ruled that the reporting in bail conditions for SODELPA MPs Salote Radrodro, Niko Nawaikula and Peceli Vosanibola has been suspended until the 14th of May following the restriction in movement due to COVID-19.

Radrodro, Nawaikula, Vosanibola and other SODELPA MP's Adi Litia Qionibaravi, Ratu Suliano Matanitobua and Simione Rasova and former government MP, Vijendra Prakash are charged for allegedly abusing parliamentary allowances, have been released on bail.

The court was informed that Nawaikula will not be able to report in Tukavesi, Vosanibola will not be able to report in Levuka while Radrodro will not be able to report in Bua due to restrictions on travelling to the island and because of the parliamentary sitting.

The condition will be reinstated on the 14th of May.

They are each charged with one count of giving false information to a public servant and one count of obtaining a financial advantage.

It is alleged that they gave false information to the Secretary-General to Parliament, Viniana Namosimalua while claiming for allowances.

The SODELPA MPs allegedly claimed for travel and accommodation allowances they were not entitled to.

The case will be called in the Suva High Court on the 14th of May.

Meanwhile, the court will hear the submission to transfer the matter of former FijiFirst MP Vijendra Prakash to the High Court on the 6th of May.

It is alleged that Prakash gave false information last year regarding his residential address to the Secretary-General to Parliament while claiming for allowances.

He allegedly used false information to claim $33,000 in allowances.
