Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka

As Fiji continues to navigate social and economic challenges, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has called for peace, unity and strong leadership as it is the critical pillar for Fiji's progress during the Coalition Thanksgiving Service held at the Centenary Church.

While addressing the Coalition Government members, their families, officials and the congregation, Rabuka urged all Fijians to come together, rise above their differences and work collectively toward building a brighter future for the nation.

Rabuka says their journey as leaders of the nation has not been without its trials, but it is through unity, understanding and steadfast leadership that led them to overcome obstacles and thrive in their service to the people of the nation.

He adds that peace begins in everyone's heart and must flow into their homes, communities and throughout the country.

The Prime Minister calls on leaders at all levels to set an example by practising humility, compassion, and a commitment to service because it is not about titles or positions, it is about service, sacrifice, and a shared vision for a united Fiji.

He also expressed gratitude for the unwavering faith and resilience of Fijians who attribute much of the nation’s strength to its people’s dedication and spiritual foundation.

While delivering his sermon, President of the Methodist Church of Fiji Reverend Dr Semisi Turagavou urged members of Parliament to trust the Lord to lead the Government and to seek divine guidance in their decision-making processes.

He also emphasised the importance of humility, unity, and servant leadership, reminding leaders that their authority comes with a responsibility to serve the people with integrity and compassion.
