While launching the program, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Cooperatives, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, Manoa Kamikamica says businesses are now invited to apply and share their success stories.

New to this year's awards are four categories: Excellence in Employer Award, Excellence in Fisheries Award, Excellence in Forestry Award, and Excellence in Yasana (Provincial) Aspiration Award.

The awards will also include the Supreme Award, General Awards for Premier Small, Medium, and Large Businesses Operating Internationally, and Special Awards such as Agribusiness Innovation, Best Sustainability Initiative, Excellence in E-Commerce Transformation, Excellence in Innovation Award, Excellence in Outsourcing Award, and Excellence in Service Award.

The awards process will ensure transparency and fairness where independent judges will evaluate each application.

Kamikamica emphasized the significance of government and private sector collaboration in fostering a robust business environment and highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance business growth through new policies.

Investment Fiji CEO Kamal Chetty underscored the role of the Prime Minister’s International Business Awards in showcasing Fiji's innovative spirit and commitment to sustainable practices.

The event is sponsored by numerous partners which includes, Natural Water of Viti Pte Ltd (Fiji Water), DHL Express (Fiji) Pte Ltd, Westpac Fiji, and others.

It will culminate in a ceremony later this year, honouring Fiji’s top businesses in innovation and sustainability.
