Police have set up a task force team to look into the alleged disappearance of a British citizen Lydia O'Sullivan in Fiji as widely reported.

Police Chief of Intelligence and Investigations ACP Biu Matavou says they have managed to confirm her last sighting in a hotel in the Western Division and that she already checked out, and as of today no missing person’s report has been lodged at any Police Station around Fiji.

He says Divisional Police Commanders are also assisting in their respective areas of operation.

Please call Crime Stoppers on 919 if you can assist Police in locating O'Sullivan or have any information that can assist in this matter.

Meanwhile, the BBC reports that O'Sullivan has not been seen or heard from for the past eight days.

They say O'Sullivan has been travelling for the past two years and had been living and working in Auckland, New Zealand.

The report says she usually messaged her family daily but had not been heard from since 28th February.
