As the new school year approaches, Police officers from the Eastern Division, along with officers from the Nakasi Police Station, stepped up to support their community by assisting in cleaning Davuilevu Primary School as part of their community service initiative.

The cleanup drive saw officers working alongside school staff to ensure the premises were ready to welcome students on Monday.

They cleared debris, cleaned classrooms, and spruced up outdoor areas to provide a safe and clean environment for learning.

Divisional Police Commander East, Senior Superintendent of Police Joape Cakacaka, emphasized the importance of community collaboration.

He says the start of the school year is an exciting time for students and that their goal is to ensure students return to a welcoming and well-prepared space.

Cakacaka says this initiative is a way for the Police to give back and strengthen their ties with the community.

School Manager Josefa Toganivalu expressed his gratitude for their efforts, noting that such support fosters a positive relationship between law enforcement and the local community.

He says the officer’s contribution highlights their commitment to building stronger community connections beyond their daily duties and serves as a reminder of the value of working together to support education and the well-being of children.
