Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu says they acknowledge all effort and support made so far by every Fijian in ensuring that the health restrictions and curfew orders are adhered to.

Tudravu says we are currently in a situation where we need to support the whole of Government approach to tackle the pandemic.

He says despite the effort from the majority of Fijians to assist in these causes, still, few think otherwise and are caught on the wrong side of the law.

Tudravu adds he wants to reaffirm his earlier statement that they will not hesitate to bring people into their custody if people continue to disrespect and disregard restrictions in place.

He further says as they continue with this operation, they are also making sure that other policing aspects are covered in ensuring everyone lives happily and safely in their respective community.

Tudravu adds they also thank those providing information that successfully leads to arrests and re-assures people that all information received will be treated confidentially.
