Leaders of Unity Fiji, People’s Alliance, National Federation Party and Fiji Labour Party during the joint press conference

The leaders of the People’s Alliance, National Federation Party, Fiji Labour Party, Unity Fiji and We Unite Fiji say they have put the Electoral Commission on notice that they are seriously considering non-compliance with being sworn in as Members of Parliament because of the questionable provisional results.

In a statement the leaders says they call for an immediate halt in the tallying of votes until an urgent forensic audit of the election system is conducted.

They say they will have joint public meetings soon to share their thoughts with the voters on what is transpiring.

In a joint press conference, leaders of the political parties also called on the Fijian Elections Office to recount all the votes with the full protocol of results made available. The leaders also said that the serious problem with the “anomalies” or “glitches” in the FEO app on 14th December called into serious question the integrity of the entire system.

They further say that the explanation offered by the Supervisor of Elections is inadequate and unacceptable.
