Six new vehicles fitted with communication systems where members of the public living in the Samabula, Nabua and Suva areas can directly reach officers travelling inside the vehicles at any given time for emergencies were this week handed over to the heads of the Southern and Central Divisions.

Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho reminded the officers of the importance of maintenance and care as the vehicles will be instrumental in routine Police Operations and in the build up to the General Elections.

Qiliho emphasised the importance of supervision and proper utilisation as the vehicles provided by Government are to be used to serve members of the public and those holding supervisory roles must see to it.

Of the six vehicles, two will be utilized by the Samabula Police Station, 1 for Nabua and two for the Central Police Station while the 6th will be based at the Police Headquarters in Nasinu.

For the two vehicles allocated to the Samabula Police Station, you can call; 7747468 or 7747491, for the vehicle allocated to the Nabua Police Station you can call 7747376 and for the two vehicles allocated to the Central Division or Totogo Police Station, you can call 7749172 or 7747403.
