If you are living in the elevated areas of Lami, Namadi Heights, elevated areas along Princes Road, Samabula along and along Rewa Street then start storing water today as the Water Authority of Fiji says you will experience no water supply from tomorrow morning until further notice.

WAF says due to a substantial increase in silt levels at the Waimanu Pump Station because of the recent heavy rain, it is unsafe to run all water pumps.

They say they will be carrying out essential desilting works tomorrow to fix this issue.

The Authority says Fijians in these areas should also expect some level of service disruption from today as reservoir levels at the Tamavua Water Treatment Plant continues to drop due to the reduced inflow and water production levels.
