Opposition and SODELPA Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka says people around the country are worried about their jobs and putting food on the table.

Rabuka says people are worried about their future as there is no end in sight to the socio-economic impact of coronavirus.

He says many people he spoke with during his visit to the Western Division are worried they won’t have jobs soon and will not be able to put food on the table come Christmas.

However Rabuka says the pandemic could be overcome with responsible leadership, cooperation, and never losing sight of each other and every individual life.

He says it is now time to unite as a nation, to bring our people together to not only survive the challenge we face but to listen to each other and work together.

Rabuka says it’s time to realise that only together, united and talking and listening to each other will we be able to cooperate in a bid to lift the nation and its people.

He says while there were smiles from people he met during the recent tour, behind those smiles are stories of struggle and suffering.
