Parliament restores 5-minute supplementary question time for the Opposition in parliament after Usamate's protest

The time allocated for supplementary questions by Opposition Members of Parliament has been extended to five minutes again after MP Jone Usamate raised concerns in Parliament.

Usamate had called the media to protest the two minutes that was given to Opposition MPs and claimed that the Coalition Government had reduced the time allowed for Members of Opposition to speak.

However, no press conference took place after it was brought to Usamate's attention that the issue would be resolved.

Speaking to fijivillage News, Leader of the Government in Parliament, Ro Filipe Tuisawau acknowledged that the concern was legitimate and assured that it had been addressed.

He also noted that Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Lenora Qereqeretabua announced that the time for supplementary questions has once again been extended to five minutes.
