While building on the efforts made during the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s last year, Paradise Beverages and the Organising Committee will continue their focus this year on partnering with NGOs like WOW's Kids Foundation and many others to raise their initiatives for more community involvement.

While speaking during the official launching of the 48th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament, General Manager of Paradise Beverages, Mike Spencer said through this, plans are put in place for off-season initiatives, including tree planting and mangrove rehabilitation programs that demonstrate a commitment towards environmental stewardship and community resilience.

Spencer says the tournament organisers are also working closely with the Marist Rugby Club patrons and Marist Brothers Organisation in underscoring the importance of community involvement in nurturing rugby talent and fostering social cohesion.

He says through these collaborative efforts, the tournament serves as a platform for empowering local communities and promoting inclusivity.

Spencer further says they are impressed by the sustainability focus from all the tournament organisers, including the infrastructure development, clean-up campaigns and tree-planting initiatives.

Meanwhile, Fiji Bitter Marist 7s Chairman of the Organising Committee, Lawrence Tikaram says only 20 spots are left in the men's competition and 6 in the Women's category for this year’s Marist 7s.

The tournament will be held from the 21st to the 23rd of March at the HFC Bank Stadium, Suva.
