Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama told the staff of the Bua Provincial Council that every extra hour of quality sleep they gain in their new quarters should be matched by an extra measure of service to the people.

Bainimarama highlighted this while commissioning the new, nearly $180,000 Bua Provincial Council staff quarters today.

He says as their well-being improves, so must the well-being of every Fijian they are entrusted to empower.

Bainimarama says he understands that these new quarters were requested by officials in the area, and he is proud to see this promise delivered.

He adds these new quarters also comes with new expectations, and he expects to see an immediate step-up in the level of services provided by the officers of the Bua Provincial Council.

Bainimarama says Fijians in communities across Bua count on the officials stationed at this office to help them tap the vast potential that lies in their land, harness their willingness to work hard for achievable rewards, and lead this province into a new era of development.

He says every official serving this province must become stronger advocates for the vast opportunities his government has made available to the Fijian people, including landowning communities. He asked the staff not let this investment go to waste.
