People’s Alliance Party Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka stresses that no civil servant will face any pay cuts under a new People’s Alliance Government and it is never their intention to cut civil servants pay.

Rabuka says he would imagine that an audit after an election of the alleged chronic and unsustainable overspending by the FijiFirst will identify areas of wastage that will need to be cut down and they can make the necessary adjustments accordingly to make savings without any pay cuts.

The former Prime Minister says rest assured, the People’s Alliance will be an inclusive government and any changes would only ever come as a result of holistic reviews including all stakeholders.

Rabuka says a People’s Alliance Government will also make sure that civil servants have permanent contracts.

He says he has a lot of respect for the work of all civil servants and certainly feels with respect comes trust and that trust is to recruit for jobs locally all the way to the top.
