Former Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s player, Ivamere Nabura was the hero for the Navy Women’s 7s side after scoring in the dying seconds to defeat the Seahawks 19-14 in the final of the 49th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s.

Nabura displayed her speed in the opening minute of the game, scoring the first try of the match and putting Navy in the lead.

The Seahawks replied with 3 tries to lead 15-7, but the determined sailors managed to cross the try line again, closing the gap to a point difference.

Nabura scored the last try, sealing the win for Navy.

She was also awarded the Best Player of the Match award.

Navy won the main prize of $1,000.

She dedicated her achievements today to her parents, who always supported her in her career as a professional rugby player.

She also dedicated their win to all the Navy Sailors serving in Fiji and around the world.
