The New Zealand High Commission has continued its partnership with Leadership Fiji under the New Zealand High Commission’s small grants scheme.

The New Zealand High Commission has been one of Leadership Fiji’s founding partners supporting the Leadership Fiji Program development since its inception in 2001.

At the handover, the New Zealand High Commissioner, Charlotte Darlow, says they are proud of their partnership with Leadership Fiji in nurturing incredible leaders that have a shared sense of commitment, collaboration, progress and determination to lead.

She says this program will support members to thrive by enhancing interactive learning, instilling skill sets and building leadership capability.

Leadership Fiji Chief Executive Officer Sharyne Fong says they appreciate the New Zealand High Commission’s continued commitment and support in developing the future leaders of Fiji.

Fong says Leadership Fiji has evolved over the years, and through partnerships such as this, it further strengthens and develops its programs and strategic vision.

She says their strategic vision and ambition is to establish a Leadership Academy and Centre for Fiji and the Pacific to expand its offering of leadership programs from its current core leadership program to across all levels of society.

The CEO adds they will get there someday and are grateful for the support of all their partners who believe in them.

The Leadership Fiji Program allows members to explore their own values, philosophies, prejudices and beliefs through a variety of issues offered by the program, and also offers direct interaction with current leaders across the private sector, civil society and Government.
