If we are to criticise the players, do not take it as far as criticising the players’ families but just criticise only the areas that can help the players improve for the next game.

This was highlighted by former Fiji Water Flying Fijians fullback Kini Murimurivalu during an interview with fijivillage News today.

Murimurivalu says as a rugby player he knows the emotions a player goes through when losing a game that they could have won and it sometimes affects the players mentally and emotionally.

He says fans should understand that these players also have families and the players have sacrificed a lot in camp and leaving their families behind.

He adds it is not easy representing a rugby-crazy country knowing the criticism that you would get if you make a mistake on the field.

Murimurivalu says rugby is a critical sport as it can affect a person physically and mentally, so people should understand the risks that these players take to represent their country on the world stage.

Murimurivalu has urged the Flying Fijians to grab every opportunity that they get with both hands and pressure the Wallabies into making mistakes inside their territory.

He says they need to deny the Wallabies possession and take every opportunity of scoring points even be it having shots at goal with penalty kicks.

The Flying Fijians will take on the Wallabies at 3.45am next Monday in Lyon.
