Most of the drugs are out on the streets already.

This was highlighted by Attorney General Siromi Turaga while speaking during the seaport border control training.

He says such training provides a pivotal role in setting intelligence and enhancing coordination against seaport controllers and partner agencies.

Turaga says it is alarming to talk about the future of our children due to the drug use happening right on our doorsteps.

He also says there are issues with the police force however they will march on to address such issues.

He says the fight against drugs is an ongoing battle which requires continuous adaptation and collaboration therefore the government including the Attorney General's Office stands firmly behind people and their mission.

Turaga says they look forward to setting up an independent intelligence agency as there is a lot of information going through but not being channeled.

He says the only way this can be done effectively is to use that intelligence and challenges through a group of qualified people or agencies.

The AG also says that the government is committed to providing support, resources and assistance needed to continue to strengthen their borders and uphold the role of law to ensure the safety and security of the nation so that the people are dealt with accordingly.
