Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama .

More than 22,000 students of the Fiji National University have been assisted through the government's Tertiary Education Loans Scheme and the Toppers Scholarships since 2014.

This was highlighted by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama while officiating at the FNU Students Association Multicultural event that was held at the College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry in Koronivia.

Bainimarama says the government has made substantial investment to widen the FNU network of campuses and improve its facilities.

He says through their Students Association, FNU has given back to the country as they have funded scholarships and assisted Fijians who were in the path of the recent cyclones.

He adds because of their good work, young students are now living, learning and reclaiming whatever they lost in the storm.

The Prime Minister says FNU is the region's fastest rising star in higher education and the academic ambitions have proven to grow, take shape and deliver benefits to the students and the country for decades to come.

Bainimarama assured the students and management of FNU that the government is here to provide support in every way it can.
