The Marist Brothers High School under 18 rugby side today showed their support towards their Southern Zone brother school Nasinu Secondary School ahead of the Vodafone Super Deans under 18 semi finals this weekend by donating some sporting gear to help them in their preparation.

Marist was represented by their school’s Assistant Principal Lemeki Nasau and Head Boy Andrew Sukhu while Nasinu’s Vice Principal Navitalai Waiwalu accepted the donations on behalf of the school Principal and the under-18 rugby side.

While handing over the donations, Nasau delivered a message from the school Principal Asish Dayal saying this support is shown in solidarity with the Southern Zone Secondary Schools rugby.

Dayal says Marist’s journey in the under-18 competition has come to an end, and they now offer their full support towards Nasinu as their Southern Zone brothers.

While accepting the donation, Nasinu Vice Principal Navitalai Waiwalu says this is a very touching gesture by the Marist team as it has never been done before.

Waiwalu says they are really grateful for this kind support from Marist and it will be a morale booster for the Nasinu side this week.

The donations include straps, cartons of Fiji Water and a bucket of biscuits.

Nasinu will take on Cuvu College in the first under 18 semi final and QVS will take on Ratu Navula in the second semi final.

All these games will be held at the HFC Bank Stadium.
