Police say the man that was seen in a video swearing and making threats in front of the Parliament Complex is now under the care of health staff at the Saint Giles Hospital.
He was taken there for a psychiatric evaluation yesterday.
When questioned whether the man is mentally unstable, police say they cannot divulge that information.
The man was arrested on Thursday and put in police custody to calm him down.
The video has been shared widely on social media.
In the video, the man swore at the people inside the Parliament Complex including police officers and demanded to see the Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.
