The Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School U18 rugby team will exhaust all options and fill in a new team to play Lomary Secondary School in today’s final round of the Vodafone Southern Zone Secondary Schools Rugby Competition.

MGM Head Coach Koroi Matadigo says they want to give all players who have not played all season a chance to represent the school before they head into the semi-finals next week.

Matadigo says he respects the Lomary side and knows the boys from Galoa have nothing to lose going into their final game tomorrow.

He says with the depth of players he has, he will use the boys from his extended squad to display their talent today before they trim the boys down, even though they are all registered.

He further says every game from now is treated as a final because this is the first time they taking part in the U18 category and all teams must not be under-estimated, as history has shown that Marist Brothers High School came third in the Southern Zone and went on to win the Deans final.

When questioned on his opponents and the teams to watch out for, Matadigo says Nasinu is unbeaten at the moment and that speaks of the preparations they are doing right now.

Matadigo says they will not undermine any opponents and they will play their cards right going into the National Finals.

MGM will play Lomary at 1.30pm at the Buckhurst Ground in Suva.

In other U18 matches, Suva Grammar School will play Marist Brothers High School at 2.50pm and Nasinu Secondary School will meet Ratu Simione Matanitobua College at 12:10pm.
