We are deeply committed to supporting the community, by building a strong platform of support for WOWS Kids Fiji through their pioneering “Save or Shave” campaign.

Jack’s Group of Companies Group Learning and Development Manager Dippika Raj highlighted this during their shave off in Nadi where the Jack’s of Fiji team worked towards their ambitious goal, raising $20,000.

Raj says this stands as a testament to the generosity of individuals devoted to making a profound difference in the lives of children battling cancer in Fiji and throughout the South Pacific.

She says the resounding public support, amassing nearly $8,000 in donations, coupled with Jack’s of Fiji’s commitment to match each contribution, propelled the initiative towards its target sum.

The Group Manager says additional dedication from Jack’s of Fiji ensured that the campaign not only met its objective but also surpassed expectations, providing greater assistance to the children at WOWS Kids Fiji.

Jack’s of Fiji Director Nikul Khatri, thanked each and every one of the donors who pledged their support for the brave kids, saying he was proud of the results of this great initiative and assured Jack’s of Fiji’s commitment to supporting communities through their corporate social responsibility will always be a top priority.

He also acknowledged the WOWS kids for the tremendous work they have been doing and says it is a pleasure for Jack’s of Fiji to associate with such committed organisations. A representative from WOWS kids and 6 strong kids were present for the cheque handover, the entire team was hosted for a morning tea, before joining the 10 brave participants from Jack’s of Fiji in the Shaving and trimming session, afterwards they were treated to a very healthy lunch and handed gift packs on behalf of Jack’s of Fiji.

WOWS Kids Fiji Team Leader, Mere Williams says they are grateful for the amazing support they have received this year from Jack’s of Fiji.

Williams says this is not the first time they have donated to WOWS however this time around, they have come on board much bigger, in terms of staff engagement for a worthy cause.

She says making personal sacrifices to shave their heads, for kids battling cancer, and raising a generous amount of $20,000 to support that, have significantly helped to spotlight childhood cancer issues, especially in Nadi.

There are 31 childhood cancer cases in the Western Division and Nadi has the highest number at 10.
