Vishant Reddy of Korovuto College has scooped his second gold medal in the 2023 Coca-Cola Games in a close finish.

Reddy faced stiff competition in the last 150 metres of the boys 3,000 metres race this morning as Savenaca Namokoli of Natabua High School tried his best to snatch the gold.

He now aims to qualify for the Pacific Games.

He has dedicated the win to his mother, the students of Korovuto College, the Nadi district football team, his family, people of Nadi, especially all the mothers. Samisoni Kaitu of Holy Cross College won the bronze.

Reddy won gold in the senior boys 1,500 metres while Namokoli won gold in the intermediate boys 1,500 metres event.
