An investigation is underway after one of the victims of the alleged stabbing incident at Mead Rd, Nabua yesterday has claimed that there was no response when he called the Police helpline for assistance.

The Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu has confirmed that a full investigation will be conducted.

Police are still hunting for a group of youths who allegedly stormed into the flat and stabbed three people who were drinking grog.

Two men who were admitted at the CWM Hospital have been discharged while the third victim remains admitted in a stable condition.

The three were taken to the hospital with head injuries.

Some residents have told us that the youths used a coconut scraper to attack the three.

A resident who wanted to remain anonymous says there was a drinking party taking place on Saturday however he cannot confirm if it is linked to the incident.
