The govt is here to serve all the people - Turaga

Attorney General Siromi Turaga

Attorney General Siromi Turaga says one thing that Fiji needs at this time is wisdom and knowledge, which is something that was missing in action for the last 16 years.

The Vanua of Kubuna i wai presented their traditional appreciation or the Vakasenuqanuqa ceremony to the news Attorney General at the FMF Gymnasium today.

While delivering his address, Turaga says he pledges to keep cleanliness of God and Christianity in Fiji and this will be the foundation of his work.

Turaga says he never dreamt of becoming an Attorney General because there are many others in the People’s Alliance Party that deserve this position and there are many outside of Parliament that are fit for the Attorney General's position.

He says the election is over and now the Government in place will serve all the people and continue to serve for the next four years.

The Attorney General also says he is grateful for the support of families and friends, especially, church ministers who used to call him up to encourage and show their support after his term as a Magistrate was not extended in 2020.

Turaga says setting things in order again for Fiji will not be an easy task, and he needs the prayers of this nation.

He also highlighted that Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is a cheerful man and he always jokes around with them.

He also thanked the Gone Turaga na Roko Tui Bau, Gone Turaga na Tui Nairai, Gone Turaga na Tui Qarani and the Roko Tui Viwa for their support.
