Heavy rain warning remains in force for the Eastern and Western parts of Viti Levu

A heavy rain warning remains in force for the Eastern and Western parts of Viti Levu which include Suva, Nausori, Pacific Harbour, Tailevu, Naitasiri, Tavua and Rakiraki, and Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group, and Kadavu.

A heavy rain warning alert remains in force for the rest of Fiji.

A flash flood warning remains in force for low lying areas and areas adjacent to the Waimanu, Wainimala and Waidina rivers.

A flash flood alert is also in force for the low lying areas and small streams for the Central and Eastern Division which includes Navua to Naboutini along the Queens Highway and other low lying areas within the Central Division.

The remaining parts of Fiji can expect occasional showers and thunderstorms.

The Nadi Weather Office says that a trough of low pressure remains slow moving over the country and is likely to affect the country till the weekend.

Meanwhile, a number of roads in Naitasiri are closed to all traffic due to flooding.

The Fiji Roads Authority says the Waisomo Crossing, Vatulili Road, Navulokani Road and Savu Road are closed.

Buiduna Road in Nausori is also closed due to flooding while Koronivia Road is only accessible to 4WD vehicles.
