875 students of Suva Grammar School from Year 9 to Year 13 celebrated with colours during their school cadet pass-out parade which was witnessed by thousands at Albert Park today.

During the parade, 124 students in Year 13 were also farewelled after being part of the school cadet for the past years.

While addressing the cadets, Acting Chief of Staff Colonel Jofiliti Mocelutu commended the parents, guardians, family members and friends for helping build and mould the characters of the students on parade.

Mocelutu says it is indeed an important task where they collectively make an effort to ensure that their children have the correct training, guidance, mentoring and support to allow them to excel in the respective fields they desire.

He also advised the cadets to dream big, discover their capabilities and shape their destiny because as emerging and upcoming leaders, the onus rests upon them to rise to the occasion to meet the pressing need of our county and society.

Meanwhile, the Parade Commander and school head boy of the school, Tomasi Tabunavatu Mafi of Lovoni, Ono-i-Lau was awarded the Baton of Honour.
